Home/New Builds/New Home Construction

New home constructionin San Francisco.

Ground-up houses, rebuilds and small multi-unit buildings. New construction in San Francisco is a permitting, engineering and logistics project as much as a building project. We build from your architect and engineer's plans and run the job from site prep through closeout.

We take projects that need a contractor: remodels, commercial build-outs, new construction and major repairs.

Thanks, we received your request and will be in touch.
The Approach

How we run it.

What sets the plan, the estimate and the schedule for this kind of project.

Logistics planned before excavation

Tight lots and neighbors on both sides mean deliveries, staging and shoring need a plan from day one.

One accountable team

Permits, trades, inspections and schedule are coordinated by us rather than split across contractors.

Numbers you can read

The written estimate is line-itemed and states assumptions, so scope changes are visible when they happen.

The Scope

What ground-up construction involves.

A new building starts with the ground: soils, foundations, shoring and site utilities come before framing. San Francisco lots are tight, neighbors are close and streets are often steep or narrow, so delivery, staging and protection of neighboring properties get planned before the first excavation.

We price the complete scope in writing from your drawings, sequence the trades, manage inspections and run the project through closeout.

In San Francisco

Building new in San Francisco.

New construction typically requires a soils report, structural design, fire sprinklers, energy compliance and stormwater measures, along with Planning approval and plan review by SF DBI. Utility connections and street work add their own permits. Your architect and engineer carry the design; we plan the construction around the approvals.

Sites near the Bay shoreline or on steep ground bring added geotechnical considerations. We raise those during the estimate, not after excavation begins.

Common Questions

New Home Construction FAQ.

Anything else, ask in the form at the top of the page.

Do you build from my architect's plans?

Yes. We price and build from your architect and engineer's drawings and coordinate with them during permitting and construction.

Can you take a project that is not yet permitted?

Yes. We can review the plans and site early and give a written estimate with assumptions, then coordinate with your team on permits.

What kinds of new buildings do you take?

New houses, rebuilds after demolition and small multi-unit buildings. If your project is a different type, describe it and we will tell you the next step.

Will you need to know about soils?

Yes. New construction normally relies on a soils report, and sites with fill, slopes or a high water table need more attention. We review that with your engineer during the estimate.
